Public bug reported: Please sync devhelp 41~rc-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main)
Explanation of FeatureFreeze exception: Some GNOME projects are switching to using gi-docgen instead of gtk-doc to build their developer documentation. devhelp 40 won't display the gi- docgen docs but devhelp 41 does. I think the only docs already in Ubuntu using gi-docgen is gtk4. json- glib 1.6.4 does but that's not in Ubuntu yet. Changelog entries since current impish version 40.0-2: devhelp (41~rc-1) unstable; urgency=medium * New upstream release - This release adds support for displaying docs produced by gi-docgen * debian/copyright: Add info for embedded gi-docgen. See bug 987000. * debian/control.in: Add python3-* dependencies needed for gi-docgen build * Drop obsolete Build-Depends: amtk, gtk-doc-tools, libxml-parser-perl * Update install files for switch from gtk-doc to gi-docgen docs (for devhelp's own developer documentation) * Add patch to not treat a RC release differently than stable releases -- Jeremy Bicha Tue, 07 Sep 2021 21:20:42 -0400 ** Affects: devhelp (Ubuntu) Importance: Wishlist Status: New ** Changed in: devhelp (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Wishlist -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1943032 Title: FFe: Sync devhelp 41~rc-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/devhelp/+bug/1943032/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
