I'm closing this bug. The "Directory nonexistent" error itself should be fixed in Hardy (see bug 107820).
Just because the "Directory nonexistent" handling is better does not mean that CPU frequency scaling is supported. If you still get "CPU frequency scaling not supported" during boot or with "sudo invoke-rc.d powernowd restart", then please report a new bug and include the output of: $ uname -a $ sudo modprobe -r powernow-k8 $ sudo modprobe powernow-k8 $ dmesg | grep powernow There will be different reasons why it fails and it's likely to be a kernel issue then. So, please include the kernel info ("uname -a") and try it with Ubuntu Hardy, if you can (e.g. booting from the LiveCD). Thank you. ** Changed in: powernowd (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Fix Released -- Error in powernowd startup script, "Directory nonexistent" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/85946 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
