Public bug reported: Session preference, in this case, is ignored in two scenarios:
* Cold boot, first log in: Even when Xorg session is picked through the cog menu in the bottom right, Wayland session is started. Only when explicitly re-selecting Xorg from this session picker, despite being selected and displaying as selected already, the Xorg session is registered as the preferred one. * Gnome session crash ("Oh no! Something has gone wrong" error). After restoring session, Wayland starts by default, despite initially choosing Xorg session.
