Thanks for your report.
But the fact that the regional format preview doesn't work, if you
instantly select a recently generated locale, is expected behavior. For
me, the advice in the showed error message is sufficient to make it
work. I.e. close the Language Support tool and open it again. No need
for me to re-login or reboot.
Can you please try to just close and re-open Language Support and let us
know if that works for you too.
