@juergh removing overclocking fixed the issue. Looks like the GPU was giving errors when overclocked.
Thanks for asking me to check that. The firmware in linux-firmware-raspi2_5-0ubuntu1~ppa1_arm64.deb works fine with the 5.13.0-1008-raspi kernel.
