Public bug reported: The corresponding kernel package (linux-raspi) was already renamed away from linux-raspi2; the same should happen for this firmware package.
Several suggestions have been made of how this should be accomplished, including adding it as a binary package to the linux-firmware source package. However, in the course of figuring out how to accomplish this move (which is complicated by the fact the package uses diversions, and will probably always need to), I think the simplest move at the moment is simply to introduce a new linux-firmware-raspi source package derived from this one, and follow the usual transitional package route of https://wiki.debian.org/RenamingPackages ** Affects: linux-firmware-raspi2 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Dave Jones (waveform) Status: New ** Changed in: linux-firmware-raspi2 (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Dave Jones (waveform) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1950632 Title: Rename to linux-firmware-raspi To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware-raspi2/+bug/1950632/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
