Hello, This bug is not solved at all. After having hit it (xubuntu 21.10, Chromium 96.0.4664.45, snap 2.53.2, I still can not open .vmrc URLs. When looking at the master git repo here : https://github.com/jdstrand/snapd/blob/5190924a895e6344b57e9670727bf079d014dbe3/usersession/userd/launcher_test.go#L78 one read that the whitelisted allowedURL schemes are still hard-coded.
