Hi, Thanks for taking the time to file this bug. This seems to be a recurrent question from users as you can see here [1]. Since rabbitmq- server is in the main component [2], Canonical will keep supporting it for the entire life cycle of the Ubuntu release, we will not move to a newer version but keep monitoring for bugs and backporting security fixes as needed. If you want a newer version you'd need to move to a newer Ubuntu release.
