Public bug reported: Which trying to do a dist upgrade from 20.10 it fails right at the beginning with an error that it can't download kubuntu-desktop.
I tried doing a "sudo apt renistall kubuntu-desktop" before retrying the upgrade but is fails with "Reinstallation of kubuntu-desktop is not possible, it cannot be downloaded." It seems that all of the Groovy packages are no longer valid so it can't get anything from them ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 20.10 Package: ubuntu-release-upgrader-core 1:20.10.16 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.8.0-63.71-generic 5.8.18 Uname: Linux 5.8.0-63-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.11-0ubuntu50.7 Architecture: amd64 CasperMD5CheckResult: skip CrashDB: ubuntu CurrentDesktop: KDE Date: Thu Dec 30 14:19:44 2021 PackageArchitecture: all SourcePackage: ubuntu-release-upgrader UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to groovy on 2021-12-30 (0 days ago) VarLogDistupgradeTermlog: ** Affects: ubuntu-release-upgrader (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug dist-upgrade groovy third-party-packages -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1956048 Title: Dist Upgrade fails because it can't get Kubuntu-desktop To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-release-upgrader/+bug/1956048/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
