Public bug reported: Hi, I'm on Debian but I think the problem is not so far in Ubuntu too. If you try to install gadmin-openvpn and set a server and client configuration it installs some scripts in /et/init.d that kill any other openvpn process at start-up. So if you have problems with gadmin and want to revert to openvpn normal use without any "helping" gui you can remain for 2-3 days awake in front of PC banging your head into the wall while trying to understand why openvpn is not working, as it's like to find a needle in a haystack. So, if you want to uninstall gadmin-openvpn-client and gadmin-openvpn-server you MUST delete these two shit persistent files too, not included in the file package list: - /etc/init.d/gadmin-openvpn-client - /etc/init.d/gadmin-openvpn-server
Hope this can help.
