I wasn't able to submit a crash report as I didn't find any. After some browsing and reading of logs I narrowed it down to this bug - https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/1933880 I applied a certain workaround which kind of fixes the issue. Now restoring is ok, though it freezes for few seconds but the application state is presereved.
