I tried Alpha2 (http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/hardy/alpha2) and it properly recognized the hard drives, so it's working up to that point.
It's not my laptop, so i cannot test a clean install on it. I say this because the feisty install also required some major tricking to boot once installed. On a side a note, nvidia driver never worked on feisty, my friend is stuck on nv or vesa.
