** Description changed: The problem is observed while debugging lp:1955720. The AMD RX 640 fails to work in kernel 5.14 and even the latest 5.17-rc. After kernel bisecting, I found disabling ASPM (reverting commit 0064b0ce85bb ("drm/amd/pm: enable ASPM by default")) can display w/o problem. However, the display seems to respond very slow to keyboard/mouse input. - Created a bug on https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/issues/1907 - for tracking. + Created a bug on https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/issues/1907 for tracking. + --- + ProblemType: Bug + ApportVersion: 2.20.11-0ubuntu27.21 + Architecture: amd64 + AudioDevicesInUse: + USER PID ACCESS COMMAND + /dev/snd/controlC0: u 2050 F.... pulseaudio + CasperMD5CheckResult: skip + CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME + DistributionChannelDescriptor: + # This is the distribution channel descriptor for the OEM CDs + # For more information see http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DistributionChannelDescriptor + canonical-oem-somerville-focal-amd64-20200502-85+fossa-rockruff-adl+X163 + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 20.04 + InstallationDate: Installed on 2021-12-28 (49 days ago) + InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 20.04 "Focal" - Build amd64 LIVE Binary 20200502-05:58 + Lsusb: + Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub + Bus 001 Device 003: ID 046d:c077 Logitech, Inc.
