Thanks for looking into this. 'Wayland + nvidia drivers' seems to be very problematic...even with 510 I had to reboot in recovery and edit /etc/gdm3/custom.conf to disable wayland and reinstall nvidia 470 to get a working system again.
I did enable some PPAs, for hardware like an intel realsense depth camera, just removing the PPAs did not fix the problems. I never enabled the 'proposed' a broken upgrade could be a thing... the dist-upgrade (20.04 >> 22.04) did crash and I had to do 'dpkg --configure -a' and 'apt --fix-broken' or something similar. Probably a fresh install is a good idea... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1966440 Title: gnome-shell crashes often when using the menu (start) button To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1966440/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
