This is intended. `firefox.desktop` from the .deb is a migration utility and wrapper to launcher the snap. The is no .deb of Firefox in the 22.04 archive.
The reason `firefox.desktop` is hidden is because I have firefox .deb to .snap migrations in `ubuntu-mate-settings overlay`. If `firefox.desktop` is not hidden there will be two Firefox menu items, one for the snap directly and the other is for the wrapper provided by the .deb. ** Changed in: ubuntu-mate-settings (Ubuntu) Status: New => Opinion -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1967736 Title: Firefox.deb menu blacklisted in 22.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-mate-settings/+bug/1967736/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
