I don't think we should fix this. IMHO, it's not a bug.

Rationale is:
- if a program from package X is installed in /usr/bin (or any system-wide 
path) and is supposed to be used as a launcher for a particular mime-type or 
file extension, yet firefox does not propose it, it's probably package X's 
fault to not have the proper mime referenced and then, the bug should be 
against X, not firefox.

- the "Other" choice points to user home dir as in traditional Unix,
that's the only place where a user could install stuff without
privileges and user may not know how to specify a correct user-defined
mime type.
