Public bug reported: When launching the Extensions app, the icon briefly appears in the dock and immediately disappears. No log can be found. Launching "/usr/bin/gnome-extensions-app --gapplication-service" in a terminal just hangs the process, with `strace` saying that it gets stuck in `wait4(-1,`. It may have something to do with dual booting Debian testing and sharing root possibly messing up some config files, but Extensions shouldn't just crash and should at least provide some errors or log output for troubleshooting.
dpkg says that the desktop file is in package "gnome-shell-extension- prefs", but launchpad says that it doesn't exist in Ubuntu.
