I did not even try this ;-) But please check also https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mailfromd/+bug/1977641 mailfromd does not work. There seems to be a problem with the symbols. mu_stream_getline and other functions have become inline and moved into header files. But mailfromd was not compiled against these new headers, so it still believes they are in the libs.
