I ve just tried the 2.6.24-2-generic kernel in linux mint.Although the sound works out of the box, gpu seems to get hotter and hotter even with the custom dsdt file.With the patched 2.6.22 kernel and the custom dsdt file the temp issue was fixed but now here it goes again...
