For close to two weeks now, I haven’t been able to log into Unity on Noble (Intel CPU + Nvidia GPU). Then when the xz-utils situation started I stopped daily updating a second computer (AMD CPU+GPU).
Two days ago, I thought that the packages had been rebuilt, so I updated the second PC, now that one too loops from LightDM back to LightDM. I tried the usual fixes to no avail. Lastly, a friend contacted me and he also experiences the same problem on his Ubuntu Unity Noble (Intel CPU + AMD GPU). For now, I access my two PCs through the Cinnamon desktop and that works. The problem remains as of 2024-04-08. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2060374 Title: Unity desktop won't launch To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bamf/+bug/2060374/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
