I downloaded 7.10 today, from a UK mirror. The install has just finished.
I did a base install, then did an apt-get gnome fvwm-crystal xorg Xorg works properly, with the keyboard mapped correctly. I do get some Gnome problems and Firefox has a habit of crashing, but these are not X problems. Happy with this result.
