Unfortunately, my sound finally did fail again... But the symptoms seem different. Audacious just hangs for a while before ultimately giving up (and it stops hanging and stops trying to play).

My laptop went to sleep with mute enabled, I started playing sound after resuming, noticed I was muted, and resumed... And sound was no longer working. Could bec7760a6c5fa59593dac264fa0c628e46815986 be the issue?
