Upgrading from 23.10, April 27th 2024, via terminal using do-
distribution-upgrade -d results in too many errors and upgrades fail:
running "do-distribution-upgrade -d" will fail:

a splash appears and it states that grub-efi-amd64 grub boot loader was
previously installed to a disk that is no longer present, which is odd
since it is the disk lvm I am installing ubuntu on, I continue by
selecting /dev/nvme0n1p1
and after running "apt update/full-upgrade" again it fails:

after purging mesa-opencl* and re-installing it and purging libcc* and

Also reinstalled and enabled gdm3 service since it got stuck at boot
last three times I tried, prior to reboot.
With the failed upgrade restarting the computer will result in a hang and fail
to load the gdm.service and system will be unusable.
