Recommends seems like the right thing to use for an optional feature - but python3-dnspython already Recommends: python3-httpx, and that's where the code that's directly using the httpx library lives. So I wonder if it really makes sense to change dnsdiag for this? A Recommends there rather than in one of its dependencies wouldn't really change anything, and it would be harder to maintain since the code that directly uses httpx isn't in dnsdiag.
