Public bug reported:

rtorrent is crashing whenever it is tried to be run with a session

# mkdir .session
# rtorrent -s .session
*** buffer overflow detected ***: terminated
                                            Aborted (core dumped)

1) release of ubuntu: Ubuntu Server 24.04 (in an LXC container)
2) 0.9.8-1build3
3) Expected rtorrent to run like it did under 23.10
4) crashed with a buffer overflow. If I don't use a "session" in rtorrent it
runs fine. But with a session it throws the error.
