Thanks for replying, I reported the bug mainly because the system prompted me to report a bug. I suspect the problem was because I was using a wubi install of ubuntu and trying to change properties of music files on the windows NTFS partition. I can replicate the error but I think this is probably low priority with too many untypical variables. Feel free to close this bug unless you would like me to pursue it further. Thanks John
