Public bug reported: I ran "sudo apt install diffuse" and expected diffuse to be installed and working. However, diffuse was installed but not working.
When running diffuse from command-line, I noticed it was missing "distutils". Manual installation of python3-distutils-extra solved the problem. Hopefully someone can make it so this package is included as a requirement in the diffuse package.
