OK, kernel successfully compiled sans reverting the commit. Googling kernel patching, I found these commands to revert based on git repo:
git checkout d410ee5109a1 git checkout d410ee5109a1 However, since I downloaded the file from here, https://mirrors.edge.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v6.x/, I don't know how to initialize the my download as a get repo.
