Public bug reported: Night light is not working on a fresh Ubuntu 24.04 install.
Nothing about the system was changed, enabling the night light was literally the first thing I did after the very first boot of the system. I set the schedule to manual and adjusted the "Times" option such that it would enable at the time of testing. The night light icon on the top bar shows up as expected. I'm including this information on the off-chance it is somehow relevant: during the Ubuntu 24.04 install procedure, I selected the Dark theme. The system correctly booted using the Dark theme. Switching to the light theme had no effect on the Night Light functionality.
