The init scripts should probably be removed in favor of the systemd
scripts.

Jacob, just to confirm, the fix requires 2 things that we know of so far:
1. removing the init script
2. applying the upstream patch to error check unbind_tree[0]

Or is it JUST removing the init script that alleviates the issues you
are seeing?
