Same here using NVidia GTX1050 Ti with Kubuntu 24.04. adding nomodeset fixes the problem as does removing both splash and quiet instead as a less performance impacting change. (Didnt try just one of spash and quiet to see which was the real culprit as its a production machine so try to avoid reboots - sorry!)
