Given that this is memory usage-related and browsers are well known to
consume quite a bit of it especially with large numbers of tabs, I'd
echo Daniel's suggestion (glad to hear it helped here!), and will close
this as 'wontfix' since it's highly unlikely to be 'fixable'/improvable
overnight with a single change. Thanks.

Title:
ubuntu (perhaps its the gnome desktop) freezes every few seconds
saying wait or force quit window then unfreezes, this still happens
