Yeah - I'm still around.

These days, its become cheap enough to just have more RAM - so to be
honest, I haven't seen an issue like this again in a number of years -
but now I don't bother with less than 32Gb of RAM for a desktop.

Likely, this has just become obsolete now - so closing as such.
