Binary package hint: emacs-snapshot
1) Make sure that the Gnome panel contains the "Window Selector" (not "Window
List") and "Force Quit" applets.
2) Start emacs-snapshot
3) Click on either of the two aforementioned applets in the panel
4) The X session freezes.
Remedy: From another virtual terminal, pkill gnome-panel
