Okay, I can't replicate the issue here but that may simply be differing hardware, especially when it comes to video playback. I've uploaded a build to ppa:waveform/kodi (https://launchpad.net/~waveform/+archive/ubuntu/kodi) with the linked patch applied to it. If the original poster is still interested, please wait for the 2:20.5+dfsg-1ubuntu2~ppa1 build to finish, then try the following:
* Shut down kodi if it's running * sudo add-apt-repository ppa:waveform/kodi * sudo apt upgrade * Run kodi and try playing AV1 file mentioned in the linked report If that patch fixes it for you, please let me know and I'll see if I can add it to an SRU. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2072534 Title: Kodi crashes immediately when starting to play AV1 on Ubuntu 24.04 noble To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kodi/+bug/2072534/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
