Hello borgdylan, I understand the similar issue in arch was caused by glib2 2.80 being built against a version of util-linux not yet published. I understand it was fixed when `util-linux-2.40rc2-1` was made available.
In our case, I checked that our current version of glib2 (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/glib2.0/2.82.1-0ubuntu1) was built with util-linux 2.40.2-1ubuntu1 (current version available since 2024-08-21). I tried an upgrade from noble, after verifying I had libmount 2.39.3-9ubuntu6.1 and glib2.0 [2.80.0-6ubuntu3.1](https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/glib2.0/2.80.0-6ubuntu3.1). The upgrade went fine, libmount 2.40.2-1ubuntu1 was installed, the previous version removed and I could not see any error. How did you upgrade? From which series did you upgrade? Did you run apt update && apt upgrade before? ** Changed in: util-linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2081684 Title: Things depending on libmount1 complain MOUNT_2_40 not found To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/util-linux/+bug/2081684/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
