I can confirm that disabling LTO fixes the issue. Now I wonder if the git-ubuntu import team will take the patch. I'm willing to submit it. FWIW this is not a Debian Bullseye issue, I checked. python3-grpcio 1.30.2 is built against Python 3.9 there and it works just fine.
