OK, thanks. Could you also attach the PPD file of your printer (should
be /etc/cups/ppd/copier3.ppd on the print server (cups1.bytec.de), the
machine where the printer is connected to, or do "wget
http://cups1.bytec.de:631/printers/copier3.ppd";).

The problem here is

1. The machine-readable string of one of the MediaType choices contains
parentheses, probably this violates the PPD standard

2. CUPS, when convering the PPD file options into printer IPP attributes
in order to share the printer as an emulation of a driverless IPP
printer, does not remove the parentheses, which are also not allowed in
IPP attribute names

(1) is the actual root cause but we cannot fix the PPD supplied by your
printer's manufacturer. Therefore the best is if we fix (2). This has to
be done in CUPS upstream.

Moving issue to CUPS ...

** Package changed: libcupsfilters (Ubuntu) => cups (Ubuntu)
