I can confirm that ksmbd-tools from noble-proposed has fixed the bug for
me.
Test done:
try to install ksmbd-tools and confirm that it still fails to install.
Added noble-proposed to apt sources.
install ksmbd-tools from noble-proposed and confirmed it installs this
time.
Followed the testplan for the basic sanity test and confirmed ksmbd is
running.
