Interesting that the problem is fixed in 2.6.22-14-386 but exists in 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP. Can you retest with Hardy Alpha3 when it comes out in the next day or two and report if the bug still exists? Also, have you tried installing the x86_64 version?
