Today in the morning I installed my old Radeon x550 instead current
NVidia 6600GT. And it works! At least system is booting from LiveCD...
freezing a little, but I hope that after installing everything will be
fine.

I surprised a little, because considering that ATI give more headache with
Ubuntu instead of NVidia. Especially on notebooks. Am I right?
Well, now I think I have to buy new videocard. I need your advice, guys. Which
one will work fine with Ubuntu? 8600GT is fine? Is it anywhere list of
recommended hardware?

Thank you for patience.

My configuration is

Monitor: Dell 2007WFP (widescreen 1680x1050)

MB: ASUS P5K SE
CPU: Intel® Core™2 Duo E6750
1GB Hynix
320GB Seagata SATA2
videocard is need your advice. Current is 6600GT.
