I do think it's worth understanding this. If it's related to the eventual dracut move it's just 'kicking the can down the road' and something that needs to be figured out eventually. Do you still have your "old" initramfs? Was that one built with dracut? Can you try to re-build again using dracut? Does the failure happen again?
