Hi all, I've the same problem describe above.
In my case, the pre-install scripts fails (segfault) during "linux- image-2.16.22-14-generic_2.16.22-14.47_i386.deb" upgrade. Please find my '/var/log/dist-upgrade/main.log' file in attachment.
