I do not see any enthusiasm from Synaptic developers, so I have created
PPA with fully-featured Synaptic for Ubuntu 25.04 (plucky) so the 'Quick
filter' is enabled.

Without any warranty you can install Synaptic from my PPA:

```
sudo add-apt-repository -y ppa:nrbrtx/synaptic
sudo apt-get install synaptic
sudo update-apt-xapian-index
```

and use it as it was before.

I hope there will be never such fails in the next LTS or which is more
important - in Debian stable.
