Thanks. It seems the kernel itself can't see any external monitor
connected. It's also interesting the Nvidia card isn't reporting any
display connectors exist. This makes me wonder if the Thunderbolt port
is wired to Nvidia instead of Intel. Can you configure that in the BIOS?

It's possible that when it starts working you have just turned on the
Nvidia GPU.
