Uggla, Just to make things clear about the situation...
The current status is not "possibly Debian 13 already use Python 3.13". What happens is that Mathias Klose (aka: doko, a Canonical employee) always updates the Python interpreter in Debian first at the end of each year, and early the year after, it goes into Unbutu. Currently, Debian 13, aka Trixie, is in freeze, and includes Python 3.13. There wont be any other interpreter. I was able to validate all of OpenStack as a backport to Debian 12 (Bookworm), but *not* in Trixie, as Nova is currently broken, as per this bug. This currently means that Debian 13 will not have a working Nova (ie: not even able to spawn a VM) unless we find a fix. While I would of course prefer to find a fix before the release of Debian 13, if we have a workaround, I'll be able to upload it. But I wont be able to upload all of Flamingo (or the 2026.1 release) in Debian 13, it will be too late. So, this is a quite sad situation we're in... :/ -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2103413 Title: Python3.13: Garbage collection happens too early on greenthread switches To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nova/+bug/2103413/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
