Booted back into 6.11.0-26-generic, which is the kernel it used to run
before the upgrade, but otherwise with the 25.04 rootfs and bluez 5.79.
The mouse and keyboard worked immediately, just as they used to,
including across reboots, power cycling the devices and suspending the
laptop.

Booted into 6.14.0-15-generic with the same rootfs and again they need
re-pairing.

Until the re-pair, the MAC addresses of the mouse and keyboard were
constant, even when power cycled.
