Public bug reported:

Zig is a general-purpose programming language and toolchain for
maintaining robust, optimal and reusable software. Zig is LLVM-based and
provides full interoperability with C.

License: The MIT License (Expat)
Notes: This currently depends on zig0.14 which is proposed through LP#2115473.

The Debian Zig Team has worked on the initial packaging of zig-defaults
[1]. However,it is neither in the Debian NEW queue [3] nor in the Debian
archive, possibly because Debian is currently in hard freeze for Trixie.

For Ubuntu 25.10, I would like to propose zig-defaults using the
packaging from [1]. We should eventually re-synchronize with Debian,
when zig-defaults is available there.
