That is basicly what I did, From M$ windows xp I opened the driver install disk>fond the net5416.inf file>copied to desktop>saved to floppy>opened floppy in ubuntu>saved to desktop>then pointed ndisgtk to the file to install>and the error i mentioned was what i got,
