An external module (rtl8812au) prevents the 6.14 kernel from fully installing/configuring:
Consult /var/lib/dkms/8812au/5.6.4.2_35491.20191025/build/make.log for more information. dkms autoinstall on 6.14.0-24-generic/x86_64 failed for 8812au(10) This is not a bug in Ubuntu or the kernel. I suggest removing that module and using the Ubuntu version (rtl8812au-dkms), which is patched for kernel 6.14 ( bug 2111353 ). The other option is using rtw88 repo if you need the latest driver code : https://github.com/lwfinger/rtw88?tab=readme-ov-file#installation-using-dkms- ** Package changed: dkms (Ubuntu) => linux-hwe-6.14 (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: linux-hwe-6.14 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid ** Summary changed: - package linux-image-unsigned-6.14.0-24-generic 6.14.0-24.24~24.04.3 failed to install/upgrade: run-parts: /etc/kernel/header_postinst.d/dkms exited with return code 11 + rtl8812au 5.6.4.2_35491.20191025 fails to build with kernel 6.14 HWE -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2117391 Title: rtl8812au 5.6.4.2_35491.20191025 fails to build with kernel 6.14 HWE To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-hwe-6.14/+bug/2117391/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
